The Association for Black Securities and Investment Professionals (ABSIP) was formed in 1995 to address the lack of sufficiently representative numbers of black professionals in the securities and investment industry. It was also conceived as a platform to address the aspirations of those already in the industry and to create a forum for black professionals to exchange information and ideas. These aspirations are expressed in the objectives of the organisation. The Association is a not-for-profit organisation which endeavours to create a platform for best practice knowledge development, guidance and service amongst its members in the South African financial services community.

The Global Investment business has changed dramatically in the past few years with changing market structures and consumer needs having prompted many new types of funds and structures. To explore this, ABSIP is proud to present its Inaugural Annual Flagship Conference entitled: 'Innovation, Change and Global Financial Markets'. Speakers will cover the following themes:
