Event Overview

The State of Israel Trade Centre of South Africa, together with Omega Investment Research, hosted a half-day seminar exploring trade opportunities for South African and Israeli companies. In concurrence with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade & Industry of Israel the Honourable Ehud Olmert’s visit to South Africa, the accompanying Israeli business delegation met with interested South African companies and explored potential business linkages. The participating Israeli companies were looking to establish partnerships and JVs with local companies, operating in South Africa and Africa .

Participants gathered together for an introduction to trade between South Africa and Israel. This was followed by break-away sessions for specific sectors, where participating Israeli companies presented on their products and services. Afterward, a networking opportunity was available and one-on-one meetings arranged for the following day (Thursday, 21st October) at the Sandton Convention Centre or elsewhere.

The seminar was followed by a cocktail reception hosted by the State of Israel Trade Centre.
