The objective of the event was to expand trade and investment and forge business linkages between South Africa and the USA. This conference provided guidance for South African companies keen to access the US market, particularly in light of the proposed USA-SACU Free Trade Agreement, and provided an opportunity for US business to put its role in South Africa in a positive perspective and showed its commitment to South Africa’s development objectives.
