was part of a series of exclusive international investment workshops in one of the most prosperous and thriving regions of the world: the United Arab Emirates. This event provided a unique opportunity for a limited number of South African property developers looking to raise serious investment for their projects. The 4-day roadshow consisted of a series of presentations and personal introductions to some of the largest companies, funds and private investors in the UAE. The focused nature of the event and the intimate setting ensured optimal exposure for each project.

    

We invited property developers of new or existing projects looking for equity investments, particularly in the leisure and tourism sector, to join us in this unique capital raising roadshow. Projects of special interest included for example:

The roadshow began in Dubai with a dinner on Sunday evening, 10 September, at the Habtoor Grand Resort & Spa followed by two rounds of presentations on Monday and Tuesday, 11 and 12 September. A select group of potential Arab investors were invited to either the breakfast or the lunch sessions. Each session featured short presentations by the roadshow participants, i.e. the project developers. The Monday and Tuesday afternoons were reserved for one-on-one meetings and follow-ups from the morning presentations. On Tuesday evening the participants travelled to Abu Dhabi by luxury coach to start the second half of the roadshow. A morning presentation session in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday, 13 September, followed by one-on-one meetings concluded the formal part of the roadshow.

The Habtoor Grand Resort & Spa was the venue for the first part of the roadshow.
