This five-day, five-city road show was organised by Omega Investment Research (Pty) Ltd of South Africa in association with WellStar Capital Ltd of Canada on behalf of six of WellStar Capital’s junior mining clients: Donner Minerals Ltd, Golden Peaks Resources Ltd, International Taurus Resources Inc, Robex Resources Inc, Scorpio Mining Corporation, and Tagish Lake Gold Corp.

Potential private and institutional investors, mining analysts and financial advisors were invited to attend a half day of corporate presentations showcasing this group of very promising Canadian emerging miners.  The participating companies, whether producers or explorers, have first-class projects with considerable potential that are likely to take them to the next tier.

Delegates to the presentations heard about a multi-million ounce silver project in Mexico , nickel exploration in Northern Quebec, a gold project down the valley from Sadiola, a project in Canada that expands on an area that has already produced 4.1 million ounces of gold, an open-pit gold project in Mali , West Africa and more.  Many of the participating companies have already received funding to a degree that has allowed them to significantly advance their projects, and many have multi-million ounce potential.

Each morning of presentations was followed by an intimate luncheon allowing delegates to meet the company representatives and pursue more specific discussions.  

The audiences showed great interest in the participating companies and the presented projects, and a number of the participating companies secured financing.  Paris in particular was a highly successful event and although audiences varied in size by city, but Omega was sufficiently encouraged by the event and the participation that we will be using the road show model in the future and similar investor relations road shows will feature regularly on the Omega schedule.
