As
distinct from mining conferences as such, which are
generally day-long and have a full-fledged programme dealing
with a general theme, Omega’s mining presentations are
half-day events offering the five or six presenters an
opportunity to specifically promote their company or mining
project to a selected audience where interest is guaranteed.
Participants
at the London event on 24th June 2003 included:
-

The
event was hosted by Simmons & Simmons who offered superb
facilities and an excellent lunch.
The conference itself went off without a glitch and
the general response was that the organisers had brought
together just the right blend of speaker and delegate for
the initiative. The
turnout of approximately 50 delegates was in line with
expectations for these events in London.
What is important, was that these were well targeted
and therefore persons with a serious interest.
Audience participation in the question and answer
sessions was keen and of a high standard.
The presentations were, without exception, a credit
to their companies. Several
of those present expressed interest in Omega’s forthcoming
mining conferences / workshops in Singapore, Shanghai, Hong
Kong and Dubai.
