EVENT OVERVIEW
|
|
The Fourth Annual Global Mining & Metals Investment Forum 2006, supported by SSC Mandarin, The
China Gold Association and 3D-Gold took place in Hong Kong, 29 August and Singapore 31 August.
The conference commenced with a dinner hosted by Hang Fung Gold Technology Group and
SSC Mandarin in Hong Kong.
This unique event provided a platform for mining companies to foster business and promote
investor relations. Over 100 participants of the most influential companies explored current
and future trends affecting all aspects of mining.
From all accounts this was a highly successful conference both from a mining and from an
investor point of view.

STRONG SUPPORT
|
|
The SSC Mandarin Group, SSC Sino Gold & the China Gold Association joined forces
with Omega this year and lent their considerable support to this initiative. Apart from
presenting in the event, they also offered their expertise and contacts.
The SSC Mandarin Group is a natural resources consultancy that specialises in public listings, pre-IPO
financing and capital fund raising. With offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, Hangzhou, Beijing and
Johannesburg, SSC Mandarin offers a wide range of corporate finance and wealth management services.
The China Gold Association is a major membership organisation representing wide mining interests
all across China. The CGA is an influential body, governing and developing the gold mining industry
in China.
|
WHY HONG KONG & SINGAPORE?
|
|
Hong Kong & Singapore, with their very considerable investment community and well-established
interest in gold, diamonds and precious metals, have largely been neglected – hence our reason
for having organised this forum in 2006.
Omega’s objective was to bring together parties from the mining & minerals industry and the financial
sector, in order to create a high-powered networking and investment platform.
