In November 2003, Omega organised a highly successful mining investment conference in Hong Kong.  Presenting companies included:

In addition to this event we have also, for the past three years, organised similar mining investment conferences in Singapore where the participants  included:

• Merrill Lynch

• Harmony

• Lion Selection Group

• High River Gold

• Newmont

• Anglo Gold

• Troy Resources

Institutional and private investors, who attended the above events in Hong Kong and Singapore, approached us to arrange something similar. No doubt this reflected the market upturn (some would say boom) in commodities and in the resource sector. Given the nature of this investor interest, we arranged an investor roadshow in Singapore on the 3rd August and in Hong Kong on the 5th August.

This roadshow took the form of one-on-one private appointments (in Singapore and Hong Kong) which we arranged for each mining corporate with a minimum of twelve investors (institutional and private) over the two days.

This roadshow was a top-priority for all mining corporates interested in:

• Project Funding

• Direct Investment in the form of private equity

• Portfolio Investment

No more than eight companies were selected.  This we regard as a manageable number from both an organisational and (most importantly) an investor appetite point of view.
